Your Quest For Success Depends on Your Ability to Avoid Network Marketing Scams
July 13, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
If you find yourself trying to sort through the various opportunities to make money online and you are feeling a little confused, it is no surprise. There are literally millions of different opportunities online. Unfortunately, some of them could be a scam. In your quest for success, you must develop the ability to avoid network marketing scams or you could find yourself losing money, instead of earning it.
What you must realize is there are several steps you can take to ensure you do not get caught up in one of the network marketing scams. The first step is to eliminate all of those that are under three years old from your list of possibilities. While there are many legitimate opportunities online that have just started up, following this step will protect you from those that were started with the only purpose of scamming people.
When you have narrowed down to those possibilities that interest you and those that over three years old, you will then want to start researching the background of the company. First, you can go online to the Better Business Bureau website. They may be able to inform you of any complaints that were received on this business and how the complaint was handled by them. You can also go online to the Attorney General’s office to determine if complaints were received or not.
To be certain that you are avoiding scams and will be successful in your decision, you may also want to do a general search on the company. Request their financial documents to ascertain that they have the ability to pay you and ask others for feedback on the company itself. What you may just find is that it is a great company to become involved with and one that could earn you a high income.
While there are a lot of network marketing scams to be found online, there are far more legitimate opportunities for one to get involved with. This billion dollar industry affords you the opportunity to get your own business started for relatively low start up costs and will give you a chance to earn more money than your current position. As long as you do your research, you can be assured that you will not become involved in a scam.
What Functions Make the Best Network Marketing Software
July 1, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
The best network marketing software would have several functions that work in tandem. The primary functions would be lead capture portals, an autoresponder to send automated messages, and a contact management system including POP3 email to receive mail.
Lead capture portals are very important as everything begins and ends with your prospects. You can use a number of techniques to capture leads because ideally you do not want to pay for them. Generally leads can cost from a penny to more than a dollar. In either case 1 actual prospect out of 100 leads is the norm. Not a good return on investment.
Certainly if you have an unlimited operating budget you wouldn’t mind paying hundreds of dollars to get just a few viable leads. The majority of people however, do not have this kind of money; therefore you need a way to capture leads for free and the best network marketing software would have this ability.
A typical lead capture strategy is to have a web form for people to opt-in to a free newsletter. When they give you their email address, you have their permission to send your newsletter, which can include your advertisements. This is where the autoresponder would come into play and should be set up to automatically begin sending emails when the prospect opts in.
In the event that they reply with questions, you want a function to manage the emails you will receive and then begin a correspondence with your prospect. This function is not typically part of an autoresponder, which only sends mail. Only the best network marketing software would include POP3.
A contact management system should be built in to work in tandem with your lead capture and mail systems for the most efficient operation. This system would list your leads and give you the ability to record information about them.
For example, your contact management system would automatically include the name, email address and phone number; the date you began sending them the newsletter, the date(s) they wrote to you, and when you called them. As well, it would be ideal to have a place to write your comments about the lead – what business are they in, what are their challenges, what you need to do to help them, and future appointments.
Network Marketing vs. Internet Marketing
June 16, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
Network marketing and Internet marketing are closely related. Network marketing employs the use of the telephone and personal communications a bit more than your average Internet marketing strategy. However most of the other principles are similar.
With Internet marketing, advertising is done primarily on the Internet and via email, and leads are captured through online web forms. Telephone calls would be made usually only upon request. However, some Network marketing strategies are used when an email is received from the prospect and at that point a call is made.
Internet marketing companies do recommend calling all leads the same as Network marketing companies do. This just doesn’t seem feasible though when you are getting hundreds or even thousands of leads through lead capture online.
Some marketers still purchase leads and even with this it seems that the sheer number of calls one would need to make would be difficult to maintain for the average home business entrepreneur without a staff. The use of surveys to your leads could help you to determine the best way to spend your time on the telephone.
Surveys used in Network marketing and Internet marketing would give you some background on your prospect. What are they doing in their business? What problems do they have? At what stage are they at in their business idea? This not only gives you some points with which to start a conversation, but also will help you to convey your interest in helping them.
The Internet is actually a vast group of smaller networks all linked together. It is by far the easiest and most productive use of your time to center most of your advertising and contact online. There is no comparison as to costs of doing business. The Internet is primarily free, while marketing and advertising offline is expensive for materials, postage and time.
Both Network and Internet marketers employ email marketing to advertise and of course this is still free, other than most would have an autoresponder to manage their mailings. While there are free autoresponders, they are usually very limited in scope and function.
However the primary reason one would want a reliable, reputable autoresponder is so that their mail will be delivered and spam complaints minimized. The autoresponder company would work with the ISPs to mediate any situations that affect their reputation. All transactions are documented by a 3rd party to protect you in the event of any complaints.
Top Three Reasons That People Succeed in Multi Level Marketing
June 11, 2010 by stone · Leave a Comment
If you look at the statistics for the MLM industry, you will probably not be surprised that very few people actually succeed in it. However, this just makes you wonder why so many people fail at it and what those who do succeed are doing to get to the top. The following are the top three reasons that people succeed in multi level marketing:
1. Those who succeed in multi level marketing did not give up when things got difficult. Truthfully, you are going to have a lot of difficult times. You could spend hours on a marketing campaign and get nothing for results. This can be daunting and you may want to give up on the whole business. If you do give in a quit, you will never become a success.
2. Successful marketers believed in themselves and that their efforts would pay off for them. What a lot of people do not realize is that it can take months and even longer for you to get the results that you expected. You might get a lead one week and a month later, you are still working on that particular prospect to take the next step. Not everyone is going to be able to be convinced easily and, while you may think you are wasting time on someone, they may just change their mind six months down the road.
3. While it may have been tough at times, the people who have made it to the top in this business displayed a positive attitude about their business and the products they sold. No matter who you talk to about your business, never let them see your frustration. Haven’t sold anything in a month? Don’t let your anyone see your frustration with this or you are just going to drive them away.
These are just a few of the many reasons that some people are able to succeed in multi level marketing. If you have just started out, do some more research and learn the steps that you need to take to reach your goals. It may be a longer journey than you expected, but it will be one that is worth the time.
Your First Steps With A Network Marketing Business

When you become a member in the MLM industry and start your own multi level marketing business, you may find that it seems a little confusing at first. After all, you are not just selling the product, you are trying to sell the opportunity, as well. This is what makes so many people frustrating. Do they concentrate on the products or concentrate on the opportunity?
The upside of concentrating on the sales of the products is that it will give you the chance to become more familiar with the products and your own multi level marketing business. It also gives you the chance to start making money quickly. What you sell in a given month is usually paid out the next month. Therefore, concentrating on the products themselves may help you to earn a return on your investment quicker.
On the other hand, many people will tell you to always concentrate your efforts on selling the opportunity. The goal of your multi level marketing business is to get as many people in your downline that you possibly can get. Obviously, the larger your downline is, the larger the opportunity to make money is. But what if your downline is doing the same thing as you and concentrating on the opportunity instead of the products? Basically, it means less commissions earned.
The truth is, there should be a balance. If you are selling products that will be repeat sales, such as cleaning products that will be reordered when they run out, the more customers you sign up, the more money you will be making. In that same sense, you should be offering the opportunity to anyone that likes the products and may want another means to make money. It goes hand in hand.
When you first start out, take the time to research and learn about the products and how the business is run. If you jump right in and try to start selling to your leads and prospects, they will see that you are not as familiar with the business as you should be. The lack of confidence and knowledge will actually hurt your business.
Everyone in the multi level marketing business has an opinion of the right way and the wrong way to start out. Take your time and ask your sponsor how they started out. If the company has a training program, take advantage of everything they have to offer. If you are still not feeling as confident as you want to be, look into some online classes that can help you to determine the best way for you to get started.
