A thought provoking article. Yes you are right, so many think that they have to go for the hard sell and become obnoxious irritants to everyone who comes within range.

However, I think you do have to sell – the product is yourself. So first you need to become well educated in your product, your company and yourself. Then you can offer your knowledge. As you say we are in the business of solutions to problems and we must recognise when to back off.

Once people know who we are, what we are about and the products/companies we are involved with they will know where to come.

Thanks again for bringing it all back to basics.

I agree with the above comment. Using a combination of offline and online recruiting methods is a killer.

I have been online only for about three months now and it has been great. There are so many people online today that you could easily contact 1,000 prospects per day online. You realize that your world is bigger than what is around you.

You just need to learn how to market your business correctly online.

There is nothing I can say but agree that the post was really helpful to everyone. I am from the Philippines and chose to invest on a marketing company that is operating for 2 years now. I have witnessed how people make fortune recently. My personal goals and intention to help others prompted me to join the company called Unlimited Network of Opportunities or UNO (www.uno-corp.com). Though I have joined a getting 2 months now and doing this as part-time I began to enjoy and love the business.I also witnessed how people pressure prospects to join the company. Your blog is very interesting & you make it for people who have little knowledge about MLM very interesting.

I noticed that we are very much into the same interests so I wanted to drop by and say hello. My name is Reginald & I am into this kind of business too. I also work for the Federal Govt but I look forward to retiring really soon.

The economy is really bad these days but unbeknownst to many, they can have financial stability thru MLM. Sadly, a lot of people think most MLMs are scams. If only they they’d open their eyes & try to understand MLM & its concepts better…I’m sure they’ll be on their way to financial freedom.

I’m a huge fan of building my MLM opportunity online, but at the same time, I do not completely discount word-of-mouth or warm market approaches. I believe when you have a good online marketing system that can be taught and duplicated, it is easier to approach friends, family, co-workers, etc. You now have more value to offer them than just the business opportunity.
