What is the fastest way to learn how to be successful in network marketing? You probably hear this question from time to time.

While network marketing is a very simple business, there are some basics you need to learn to achieve maximum success.

I know this sounds over-simplified and perhaps overly philosophical, but the best way to learn network marketing is – to get out and do it.

Training and coaching is great, and necessary, but nothing replaces action. Action is the key to achieving success.

Assuming you’re just learning the basics of network marketing, here are some things to keep in mind.

• don’t neglect to study the training that your successful upline provides

• ask questions!

• participate in conference calls and other events – whatever your upline offers – make the time

Take some time to learn the basics, then jump in. You’ll never learn everything by reading books or talking about it. In network marketing, there is so much you have to learn with “on the job” experience. No other way.

I’ve sponsored a lot of folks with great potential for building a successful and profitable network marketing business. I’ve seen a few fail simply because of “paralysis by analysis”. They tried to get everything just right, to know everything they thought they should know before getting started.

Don’t let this happen. Spend a reasonable amount of time going over the basics with your sponsor and upline, make an action plan, and jump in as soon as you can. The sooner you get started, the better your chances of succeeding and building the business you intended to in the first place.
